If you would like to join a Charity Association and help the ones who need help, you can join the following groups:
Rotary: Rotary is a global network of 1.2 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who come together to make positive, lasting change in communities at home and abroad.

There is an English speaking Rotary club in Ankara.
The Ankara Refugee Lunch Support Group: is a group of volunteers who help assylum seekers. For their interview, refugees are coming from different provinces and are usually spending all day at the waiting room in UNHCR. We are supplying tea, sugar, lunch, biscuits, baby food and fruit. There are different groups of volunteers for each weekday. Some groups cook or prepare sandwiches; some order meals from a sponsoring restaurant. Lösev: (The Foundation for Children with Leukemia) LÖSEV is a non-profit NGO, mainly aiming to provide educational and emotional support, financial assistance and health services for children who have leukemia or chronic blood disorders, in order to help them cope with a life-threatening illness. Other goals are to promote knowledge and provide instruction on an international level regarding acquired and inherited blood diseases, as well as establish and operate research institutions. KADER Jesuit Refugee Service: KADER JRS serves the vulnerable refugee communities of Ankara and Kırıkkale. We accept donations of clothing, shoes, pots, sheets, toys and any other household goods. Donations can be dropped off at Birlik Mahallesi, 428 Cad, no. 35 (the lower gate of the Vatican Embassy). Donations can be dropped off Monday-Saturday between 10 am and 4 pm. Please do not leave donations outside the gate after hours.

Flying Broom (Uçan Süpürge): a women’s organization working for the improvement of democracy and civil society. Flying Broom aims to enhance gender equality consciousness, provide information and training to empower women, and contribute to the development of efficient policies for solving women’s problems stemming from inequality. TAIWCCS Bookmobile: The Bookmobile Committee is responsible for going out to needy elementary schools that are pre-selected each year in and around Ankara to distribute reading books, supplies to the schools/classrooms and used clothing to the children. The committee works very hard on a weekly basis to keep the books in good condition and once a month goes out to those chosen schools to deliver a variety of books for the children to read that month, operating as a kind of traveling library. TEGV-Educational volunteers foundation of Turkey: They provide educational programs for children. Main office is in Istanbul, but they also are in Ankara.

- DMEDD (Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spouses Association): They also organize trips, Bridge afternoons and many other activities.
- Bonjour Ankara: Association created by French speaking Turkish people about 30 years ago. They organize different activities, cooking, reading clubs, beads,sculpture, French, Turkish and English conversations, walk around Eymir Gölü on Thursdays, etc.... and they welcome everybody willing to socialize (and practice French!).
