Parks in Istanbul:

  • Maçka Park:Next to the Besiktas Stadium. You can even access the Park taking the gondola lift from Taksim or from Maçka, Nişantaşı and Harbiye
  • Gezi Park: it is just off Taksim square. This park became well known since the protests in May 2013.
  • Fenerbahçe Park: A very nice Park in Kadiköy on a peninsula linked by bridge to the mainland.
  • Belgrat Ormani: 15km northwest of the city. there is also a nice lake and you can rent bikes and even horses.
  • Emirgan Park: very nice Park situated in Emirgan, district of Sariyer and the park where each year the tulip Festival takes place. Just outside the Park is the Sakip Sabanci museum.
  • Yildiz Park: One of the largest urban Parks (10 hectars) in Istanbul with a huge variety of trees dating from the ottoman period. Don't miss seeing the Yildiz porcelain factory while there
  • Gülhane Park: It's one of the oldest Parks in istanbul, next to the Topkapi Museum
