Manisa is a large city 30 min drive north-east of Izmir. Many new companies/Industries have settled there in the past years, but in the historic city center you will see many Ottoman Architecture samples that are worth a visit.
From the airport, there is a Havas Bus that can take you to Manisa, they leave every two hours starting at 3am.
